Recruitment Manager - Internal

My client is one of New Zealand’s biggest success stories. Working in the beauty industry, they’ve grown from a single salon, to 82 across New Zealand. Lead by two serial entrepreneurs, they have put daylight between them and their competitors. Collectively, they have brought a whole new level of professionalism to the industry, and have expanded operations to include multiple revenue streams. Their biggest challenge however, is one of people. Currently, they are an aspirational employment brand. Quality applicants, both new to New Zealand, and new to the industry apply here as a matter of course, so there’s lots of “BAU” recruitment to manage. However, to fuel the ambitious growth of this organisation, there needs to be a new approach. An approach focusing on headhunting the very best in the industry, This is wh ere you come in. Currently without an internal recruitment function (and thankfully without an HR function), this is an opportunity to set up a best in class, commercially-focused, internal recruitment function, and you’ll be rewarded for your success. Specifically, the role will entail:

  • The establishment of a new function
  • The assessment, selection, and implementation of an ATS
  • Raising internal awareness about this new function
  • Managing direct applicants through the process
  • Most importantly, the proactive identification and engagement of the industry’s very best via headhunting across multiple channels

To be successful you’ll need to be the following:

  • An incredibly competent headhunter
  • Experienced at engaging with people via social media channels
  • Have an eye for the creative
  • Competitive, and unlike many internal recruiters, driven by both money, and doing a good job
  • An experienced recruiter. either from an appropriate agency or internal background
